Mission Bay Construction Update – Madrone 2012

The rains began in the bay area yesterday, and in anticipation of a few wet weeks (ever the optimist, aren’t I?) we made it over to Mission Bay earlier in the week to see how construction has progressed at The Madrone. We’ve made plenty of videos about the Madrone, with the first video being made way back in August of 2011, and photos going back as far as April of 2011.

As the video makes obvious (and forgive the video quality – this time I tried shooting with my iPhone instead of my usual camera with a wide angle lens), the south building and towers are the most complete at this point. The south side of the building is Phase 1, the phase that is currently for sale, so that obviously makes sense given that there is a target move-in date of, approximately, Q3 of this year.

It was great to see so many windows installed, and I can’t wait to go back in a few weeks and see if they’ve actually got the deck railing material installed as well (I believe it will be glass, but want to see it in person). The towers both topped out several months ago so I don’t know how much longer the cranes will be on-site, but for the time being they are still there. It is impossible to see from the street, but I’d also love to see progress of the common outdoor amenities that are located in the middle of the building, including the swimming pool and hot tub. Anyone have a plane and want to do some flyovers? I’ll buy the gas!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this video. My plan is to take more photos and video in late February, hopefully on a dry day! As always, if you are interested in this condo development or any other in San Francisco, don’t hesitate to educate yourself about the services we offer a buyer.

And finally, just a reminder: The Madrone is not listed by Zephyr Real Estate or Matt Fuller, GRI or Britton Jackson, CRS. The Mark Company has the exclusive listing agreement, although my understanding is that the employees in the sales office are directly employed by the developer, Bosa.
